Weighing packs is the best way to do it. The heavy ones have holos. The holo packs also have little red speckles on them. The least accurate way is to bend packs. Usually the hardest packs to bend have holos.

Simple solution. You don't.
Tricks for getting holos are stupid as hell. Be a normal human being and just buy packs. In my opinion, the funnest thing about packs is the anticipation of getting rares.

Weighing packs in stores, whether they are retail stores, hobby stores, etc...is perfectly legal. By law, you are allowed to do this. You need a pocket scale that measures in I think 100th's of a gram. They aren't very cheap if I recall correctly.

It is personally not my gig, but I don't knock anybody that does weigh packs in stores. It is a "catch 22" really...

It sucks to buy 4 packs at say $4.50 per pack, only to pull nothing good...and it also sucks to buy packs and pull crap because somebody did weigh them before you got there.

I personally think that is why Konami makes crap ultra's and crap Secret rares...to foil pack "weighers". A pack weighs more, they think they got a winner...only to pull a Gil Garth secret! LOL.

Oh, BTW, don't ever buy single packs on-line from like E-Bay. They most assuredly are weighed. You are safest buying from somebody you know, like Bill, where if asked, I'm sure he would tell you if somebody weighed. Sealed Booster Boxes are really the best bet.

Where can you get the scale and how much does it cost?

You can do a search in your area (somehow) and find them. I'm sure somebody sells them in the Manahawkin area and such.

Here is a link, just to give you an idea. The top one on the page would be ideal...about $40 or so. Maybe buying one on-line would be easiest.

pocket scales
