yeah but that separtion is causing the game to be a game of not to much thinking. I would like it if they made the game like fantasy maybe not the same as it but put more into it. One Love

I disagree with the notion that it dosn't require to much thinking. Sure Fantasy requires more hands down, but it does require a bit of thinking.

But then again, apparently in your last league you guys played where you could anti each other enabling whoever gets first turn wins. In that format your right, it does require little thinking.

Ya but what can you really do. Email GW and say hey change Warhammer 40k. They'll tell you what every other gaming corporation says. "Go **** yourself." I'm not trying to be mean or anything but if you don't like it then don't play it. Or just nerf the rules to the way you would like to play it and have your opponent agree on it. Bashing it is not going to get the rules changed.

Opinions are like a**holes. Everyone has one.

No, I disagree totaly there is very little planing and thinking in 40k, I have been playing since 2nd edu. and I can tell you there is very little. I mean come on I move 6, I see 360, I have <AP> whatever instead of a str mod. There is no really thinking in how you move, and position your troops like in a real life combat. You either run up shooting then get an assult, or you stand still and shoot untill they get close and then you fall back. But don't get me wrong and think I am talking bad about it because I lose because when I played I won alot more then lost, unless I was screwing around with my guard.

@ Rocco - This is an open talk about the game, I am not really "Bashing" it. I am just stating the differences and what I would like out of the game. Also as a result of the downward style of the thinking in the game I have started to turn to other sci-fi and sci-fi ish games, other then my Fantasy.

@ FBO - You said it in your post, yes 40k does require a bit of thinking but so does anything you do. I play a game to be challenged and have more though then the usual everyday stuff and like I said to other people on other forums and in person, 40k is checkers and fantasy is chess. Sure its fun to play a quick game every now and then but I want a game with more to it then that.

Other then that I have picked up WARMACHINE's prime book to check it out (Yes I know its steam punk, But that is sci-fi ish). If that is any good then that is the sci-fi ish game I will be playing from now on, with Necromuda, and Gothic. One Love

I could give that challenge.

And you've played since second? I was under the impression that you started in 4th.

The challenge is not the player so you could never give me a challenge in 40k. The game does not allow player challenge anymore. It has become rock, paper, sissors where this list is good vs this list and so on. One Love

No, there are many lists in 40k that are like that even the "Balanced" ones. One Love

I've been playing for years now with balanced list and havn't seen the rock paper scissors in effect.

I know you don't care for the game, nor am I trying to change your mind, but I disagree iwth the notion that the player dosn't matter and the game is all rock pappers and scissors. Perhaps it's just our experances, though you did say you didn't play much 40k when we had our one game at the first geekarama.

But I see we will have to agree to disagree.

Btw, do you even know what I mean by a balanced list?

Yeah I do know what you mean by a balanced list I am not retarted. I said that at the first geek because it was true. By then and well really at the end of 3rd I stopped playing alot of 40k, because I lost my gaming pals that played it. But we are going to have to agree to disagree. lol. One Love

I wasn't saying you were retarded btw, I was just making sure you knew what I was talking about. I have been known to debate with people who misunderstand what I'm saying and I was trying to avoid that here.

Btw Jim, it wasn't quite a Jerry Springer moment because I wasn't throwing insults at Gorka, we just disagree about the game, nothing wrong with that. But I know your just joking around.

If it was a Jerry springer moment and I was pissed, it would be a incoharant ramble that later on I wouldn't even be able to understand!.

You can't have a springer moment without someone removing an article of clothing and calling someone a whore.
