BLACK ROSE DRAGON

EFFECT MONSTER (Dragon / Synchro / FIRE / Level 7 / 2400 ATK / 1800 DEF)

TEXT: "1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters

When this card is Synchro Summoned, you can destroy all cards on the field. Once per turn, you can remove from play 1 Plant-Type monster from your Graveyard to change 1 monster your opponent controls to face-up Attack Position, and reduce its ATK to 0 until the End Phase."

HARV'S REVIEW

Without a doubt, Black Rose Dragon has one of the best effects out there...and that is...total field destruction. Monsters like Demise and Judgment Dragon have a bit over him due to the fact that everything on the field is destroyed except them...but regardless, something that can take out all of your opponents zones at one shot is definitely something to behold. Black Rose being a Synchro Summon could still leave room for a Normal Summon and/or Special Summon(s)...and open hits on an opponents LP is pone-alicious.

Sure, Black Rose can be thwarted by Solemn Judgment, etc...but overall, there should be a pretty good chance of him making it to the field to enable the use of his effect.

The other part of his effect could come in handy on occasion too...provided your deck deals with Plant monsters to an extent. It's surely a nice available option if your opponent happens to have a defense position monster that you want to attempt an attack on, rather than nuking yourself. A couple Book Of Moon type cards could come in handy in conjunction with this part of his effect. Cards like that may even cinch a win here and there by throwing an opponents monster to face-up attack position, giving it a 0 attack amount, then ramming with Black Rose.

This all amounts to a definite Extra Deck choice I would think.

Extra Deck Synchro Choice - 10/10

Art - 10/10 (A beautifully executed rendition of a rose/dragon mix...and the sharpest Yugioh art-work I've seen in a while.)
