It's alot different then Fantasy.
Short version it's not as advanced and the units are all like skirmishers.
If you want to give it a shot, I have 4 armies so I can let you try it out. |

Than ks for the offer but i don't/can't give it a try yet. I am waiting on two things from Bill to finish my dwarf army, and i am in the process of working on wood elves and starting VC.

I was going to start off with buying the rulebook and then reading fluff to see what suits my tastes for battle.

I played NEcromunda Today with everyone and i like the play style of 40K . The combat is weird but i got used to it. Also thanks for the offer FBO, but i played Templars unexpedidly today and i have been reading through the Fluff of the old rulebook in the shop. I discovered the Chaos Daemons.

One advantage to daemons is you can play them in fantasy as well using your same models! Well mostly anyway.
If you ever want to play 40k then let me know, I have enough models for you to proxy any race you'd want as long as you have the book for them. |

Admittedly, Steven, you didn't really play 40K (unless you count second edition 40K). You actually played Necromunda with 40K models and bastardized 40K rules. That's why it was so delightfully clumsy and crazy.
Close combat is a little closer to Fantasy now (but there's no modifiers of ranks, standards, & flank/rear charges). FBO is quite correct is describing the game as like Fantasy with all skirmishers.
You may want to actually consider trying Necromunda some time if you had a good time Sunday _________________ "Brian the Painter, doodily doodily ding dong doodily doodily doo!" |
